At TSC Foods we pride ourselves on being at the cutting edge of chilled and frozen product development and manufacturing. We produce soups and sauces for retailers, restaurants and food outlets and also other food manufacturers. We supply all major supermarkets and many well-known pubs and restaurants.
The full product life cycle takes place at the Scunthorpe site from prepping the ingredients, cooking the product, packing it securely before finally being boxed up ready for dispatch from our warehouse.

As we operate 24/7 365 days per year it provides an opportunity for day and night shift working. Each new joiner will progress through a 12 week training plan which will include Health & Safety and Food Safety Training.
About the role:
As a Chef you will follow the recipe card with the ingredient provided from the Preparation. You will be trained on how to use cooking vessels and prepare food safely in line with the recipe card. Once cooked you will then send the batch through to the Machine Minders in high care who will pack the products ready for casing.
To be an effective Chef you must have attention to detail and a conscientious approach to your work. You will be following a recipe card and completing paperwork so you will need good communication skills both verbally and in written form. You play a central role in the production line so you need to be able to build good working relations with those around you to ensure the process flows effectively. It is a fast paced role and you must be confident in working with equipment and machinery as you will have to disassemble pipework for clean downs.
